Gudiya gang-rape case: Four suspect accused sent for 14 day judicial custody

Four suspect accused of Gudiya Gang rape and murder case arrested by the State Police in charge of crime today were sent for 14 days judicial custody as CBI Special Investigation today presented the four before the local Court at Theog. The CBI today produced four accused who were arrested by the State police recently after conducting their medicals. One of the accused Ashish Chauhan is already in the judicial lock up who was produced by the CBI on July 26 stating that it now longer require his custody.

 

The Court has given five-day police remand to CBI on July 24 and CBI today presented rest four in the Court who were sent for 14 days judicial custody. Six accused were in the police lock up until July 21, however, one of the accused died in the police lock up under mysterious circumstances on July 18 however, the Court had sent all of them for Judicial lock up till July 27.

 

However after taking charge of the SIT, CBI sought police remand of five accused for next four days and today produced before the Court. The deceased accused identified as Suraj (32) were consigned to fire here yesterday after CBI FSL team conducted postmortem on July 26. CBI team did not revealed major development in the investigation and now it would take statement of victims family and relative. The CBI SIT likely to be take the interrogate the police personel who were present at Kotkhai on July 18 when one of accused died in the police lock up. CBI is also verifying the authenticity of Police records relating to call detail of accused and other evidences to further go deep into the investigation.
