The Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh his wife Pratibha Singh and other accused were appeared before the CBI Court at Patiala House Court today in Disproportionate Asset (DA) case and the Court adjourned hearing till August 30 in the matter. During the hearing, the Court did scrutiny of papers and counsel for the accused submitted applications in the Court demanding the copy of charge-sheet and copy of other documents.
During the hearing in the matter, the CBI court on May 29 accepted the bail application of Chief Minister and other accused. The Chief Minister had submitted Rs one lakh security bound to get the bail on the last date of hearing. On May 8 Mr. Singh was summoned by the Court. CBI charged the State Chief Minister for amassing the wealth of 192 times for his source of income. In an interesting development Cabinet member of Mr.Singh including industry minister Mr. Mukesh Agnihotri and Thakur Singh Bharmauri also remained present in the Court however they are not accused in the case.
