While I had heard that special poojas could be ordered for some big temples like Tirupati temple online, my casual visit to one of the popular temples in Himachal Pradesh: Bhimakali Temple, Sarahan’s website, gave me an opportunity to find out that devotees can order pooja for this temple too. Are we just conducting formalities now?
Well that’s another question. Right now, though you cannot order pooja online, but as per the website, you can send in your request to order pooja to “the SDM or Temple Officer, Rampur Distt, Shimla, HP or Manager Temple Trust, Sarahan, Bushahr, Distt Shimla who sits in the Temple complex. Pooja will be performed as per order and prasad of Mata will be sent to the concerned devotee.”
You can also offer donations by post: Vice Chairman Shri Bhima Kali Ji temple Trust Rampur, Bushahr, Distt. Shimla, HP. Pincode – 172001.
Publishing material like calendar, monograph and compendium sketch of the temple can also be ordered by post. New year greeting cards in Hindi and English folders, are also available for sale. Bengali translations of these folders are also available.
