High reaches experience more snowfall in HP

High reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced light to moderate snowfall increasing the cold waves in the State. Udaipur of Lahaul Spiti district got 18 cm fresh snowfall, Keylong eight mm, Kalpa 5.6 cm, Kothi in Kullu two cm and Khadrala of Shimla one cm snowfall respectively.

 

Tourist resort Manali got 31.6 mm rainfall, Dalhousie 19 mm and Shimla six mm. Tissa in Chamba got 30 mm rain, Saloni 26 mm, Chamba 21 mm, Bajaura of Kullu nine mm, Seobagh 17 mm, Bhuntar, 13 mm & Bharmaur of Chamba seven mm, Gohar in Mandi, Kheri in Chamba & Dharamshala 12. 6 mm each, Mandi, Mashobra, Baijnath & Sarkaghat five mm each.

 

The maximum temperature of Kalpa was 6.2 degrees, Manali 6.8 degrees, Bhuntar 14 degrees, Shimla 15.3 degrees,Dharamshala 17.6 degrees, Sundernagar 20 degrees, Solan 22.5 degrees, Kangra 22.8 degrees, Nahan 25.5 degrees and Una 28.3 degrees respectively.
