Light clouds overcast sky in HP, Dry spell causing drought like condition

Light clouds overcast the sky in Himachal Pradesh however Mercury receded in the State resulting cold weather in the State. The Weather turned slightly hazy and light clouds overcast the sky since morning, the Met Office forecast light rainfall and snowfall in the high reaches and mainly dry weather in rest of the State.

 

Mainly dry weather and long dry spell resulted the drought like conditions in the State forcing the water supply and IPH department to  continue rationing of water as most of schemes were facing under inflow of water in the State. Long dry spell also resulted the dusty and dry weather causing problem to asthmatic patients, throat infection and dust allergy to people.

 

The minimum temperature of Keylong was at 2.1 degrees, Kalpa 3. 4degrees, Bhunter 5 degrees, Mandi and Sundernagar 5.6 degrees, Tourist resort Manali 6 degrees, Bilaspur 6.5 degrees, Solan 7.2 degrees, Chamba 7.9 degrees, Hamirpur 9 degrees, Kangra 9.6 degrees, Palampur 10.5 degrees, Una 11.3 degrees, Dharamshala 12.4 degrees, Shimla 14.8 degrees and Nahan 16.5 degrees respectively.
