Idea launches 4-G services in 3 towns of HP

Mobile Service provider Idea, subsidiary of Aditya Birla Group today launched 4G services to further boost up its Internet mobile wireless services in Himachal  Pradesh as this hill state has more than 108 per cent Tele-density. Corporate Affairs Officer of Idea Cellular Services Mr. Rajat Mukherjee and state Chief Officers Mr. Sudhir Pradhan unveiled 4-G services today. Beside this it was also launched at Industrial township Baddi in Solan and Dharmshala of Kangra district also extended this services to 325 villages surrounding these towns.

Mr. Pradhan said that 4-G service would also be added up at Nalagarh of Solan district, Hamirpur, Sundernagar of Mandi and Palampur of Kangra from Oct, 24 this year increasing its existing network of 3-G to 4-G in eight more township in the State also provide this service in 579 villages around five towns. Idea has about eight lakh mobile subscribers having 2-G and 3-G in the HP circle would provide high-end Internet access soon as it had laid target to upgrade facility in all 21 Circle in the country currently already launched 4-G in 2300 town and 5191 villages in 11 different circles.

Idea has pan India presence of wireless mobile telephony and data services acquired 9000 MH spectrum as it was founded in 1995. The Company has revenue growth of 35,967 Cr. in the mobile sectors as it claimed fastest growing telecom firm. The operators claimed  to be growing up at the rate of 13-14 percent per year and provided telephone services to 70 per cent area of this hill state.
