Ms. Vimla Kashyap, a BJP and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament, today condemned the congress rule for neglecting people of state from their basic rights and day to day amenities highlighting the recent trapping of three colleges girls in a Rope Bridge at Rampur.

It is worthwhile to mention here that while crossing the mighty Satluj river three girls’ students returning home from B. Ed college got trapped in a Rope Bridge on Friday but were saved by Mr.Sewa Ram an old man and a resident of Chati village of Rampur.

In a press statement issued here today the MP alleged that Mr. Singh who remained the Chief Minister for many decades could not provide a bridge to the people of his native place. “Despite people were literally crying for dire need of such essential infrastructure but their needs were neglected by the government” Ms. Kashyap alleged.

It is not a lone incident of every day life but people living in the far flung area have to encounter similar mishaps in number as similar Rope Bridges also exist in Kullu, Shimla and Chamba districts.

She also demanded that the state government should immediately order to built bridges in such places as it is unimaginable to witness such incidents in the present time as people have to face hardships in their lives every day to cross such unsafe and risky bridges in want of road connectivity.
