Governor summons budget session of Himachal Assembly

Himachal Pradesh Governor Mr. Kalyan Singh has summoned the 8th Session (budget) of 12th Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha with effect from March 11, 2015.

Mr. Sunder Lal Verma, Secretary H.P. Legislative Assembly confirmed the news in a press release issued here today. The session would commence on March 11, 2015 with the address of the Governor and last up to 10th April, 2015.There would be a total of 22 sittings in the entire session. The supplementary budget for the year 2014-2015 would be presented on March 11 and the budget estimates for the year 2015-16 would be presented by Mr. Virbhadra Singh.

The discussion on the budget, demands and voting would also take place and the appropriation bills will be passed. Besides this, the House will also deliberate on important legislative business during the session and also two days have been embarked for private members business.

Vidhan Sabha Speaker Mr.Brij Behari Lal Butail, Speaker Vidhan Sabha has expressed hope that all the legislators would utilize the session for fruitful discussion on various matters of urgent public importance and the house will find unanimity on the issues of states paramount interest. Last session of assembly was held at Dharmshala  but this year the session would take place at the historic assembly building.
