Shimla: Nine persons died in two different accidents in Rampur area of Shimla. According to police sources, five persons died in a car accident near Taklech Dhank in Rampur. The car with number HP 24A-5600 rolled down a deep gorge on Monday evening at about 2030hrs. All five people died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Kanwar Singh, son of Roop Dass, Dalip, son of Nand Lal , Pawan, son of Karam Singh, Virender Singh, son of Hira Singh and Gopal Singh, son of Rama Nand.
In yet another accident in Nankhari area of Rampur three people died on Tuesday when a vehicle carrying them met with an accident. The vehicle was numbered and it met with an accident at 630 hrs. According to police sources, three of the deceased persons have been identified as Saty Dev, Vikrant Thakur and Gulab Singh who died on the spot while fourth, Yash Pal died while on the way to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) Shimla. Another injured in accident, Rakesh has been admitted to IGMC Shimla for treatment.
