Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister today informed the House that the Government and State Education Board had instituted probe to find out the negligence of concerned staff into the incident of paper leak occurred at Senior Secondary School Nichar yesterday where Physics and Computer Science question paper were reportedly stolen by some miscreants in the intervening night of Mar 12 and 13.
Giving a Suo-moto statement in the House today, Mr. Singh who also holds the portfolio of Education and Home said that an FIR has been registered at Nichar Police Post of Kinnaur district yesterday on the complaint of Principal Government Senior Secondary School Nichar. He said that some miscreants burgled the double lock Steel Almira of Principal after dismantling entry door of principal room, took away 60 question papers each of Ten plus two Physics and Computer Science. He said that in a mail sent to Secretary School Education Board on Mar 13 Principal informed the board about the said incident.
The Principal also informed that 52 answer sheet of 10 class of Physics and 44 of Mathematics has been found missing from the trunk of the Principal room of same school. Mr. Singh said that investigation has been carried out in the incidents however police were clueless about the crime and culprit are still away from their reach. Mr. Singh said that ten plus two examinations were scheduled to be held today in 1846 examination Centres had suspended yesterday following the paper leak. It would soon announced the new date sheet of both leaked paper. The information of changed date to be appear in the website of education board soon.
The alleged incidents occurred despite the paper was being kept locked in double lock of principal rooms in every school. The board was following this system for many years. He said that Government has been ordered the Director of Higher Education to submit report about the responsible staff with suitable action beside this the deputy secretary level internal probe has been set up by the education board level which would also send the report to the government after taking action into the alleged incident.
