Bhartiya Janta Party today staged protest after submitting a memorandum by party legislators to Himachal Pradesh Governor Mr. Kalyan Singh at Raj Bhavan.
A memorandum signed by 15 partly legislators was handed over to Secretary to Governor Mr. Sanjay Gupta. The memorandum was submitted by party chief Mr. Suresh Bhardwaj and other MLAs at Raj Bhavan.
Meanwhile Mr. Virbhadra Singh government cleared the Himachal Pradesh Sports Act 2015 in haste putting a question mark about its real intent.
Raising the issue in front of Governor the party alleged that bill was moved in the house on April 7, 2015 but did not figure in the list of agenda endorsed in a hurry as it was shown in the supplementary agenda latter. Without issuing copy of the bill to BJP members they opposed it when it was laid for discussion on 8th April, 2015 however it was postponed for discussion on April 9, 2015 on their request.
Party alleged that members were not allowed to speak on the said legislations however only presiding officers and Deputy Speaker Mr. Jagat Singh Negi were permitted to speak on the bill who gave political speech and leveled frivolous allegation on Lok Sabha MP Mr. Anurag Thakur in the house.
