Violence at BJP office:Legislative party submits memorandum to Governor

Bhartiya Janata Party legislative party members today submitted another memorandum to Himachal Pradesh Governor Mr. Kalyan Singh showing resentment against Virbhadra Singh’s government for not taking desired action demanded by them.

Before staging walkout, lodging of protest and boycotting proceeding of assembly yesterday all the members of BJP moved toward Raj Bhavan under leadership of  Prem Kumar Dhumal.

On Jan 30, the party had already submitted a memorandum to Mr. Kalyan Singh on the issue of violence and scuffle between Youth Congress and BJP workers at the latter party office that happened on Jan 29. Party had moved up motion under rule 67 to adjourn the house and discuss the issue yesterday but speaker did not allow raising the issue on important matters.

Party also gave an ultimatum to the government to seek action on the party till Mar 31 failing to which they threat to lodged state wide movement against the government. Party was demanding CBI probe or by the sitting judge of High Court on the issue however the state government conducted magistrate probe in the matter, which was not joined by the opposition.

Seeking ouster of Virbhadra Singh government on the issue BJP alleged in memorandum that the Speaker did not allot time to them in the house as they had given a notice to debate the issue on the second day of session.

All the BJP members latter joined the assembly proceeding today and leader of opposition spoke on debate of Governor’s address. Speaker Brij Behari Lal Butail responded that he had rejected their adjournment motion yesterday however he did not deprive them to raise the issue in the house under rule 62 for which they did not pay any heed.
