Kinner Kailash Yatra to begin from tomorrow

Most arduous Kinner Kailash Yatra would commence from tomorrow to excel the lofty 6,500 m (21,325 ft) high mountain peak.

Deputy Commissioner Kinnaur J.M. Pathania said that police force have been asked to keep on alert aftermath of Uttrakhand tragedy, moreover district administration has little role to organize this pilgrimage yatra.

The officially Kinner Kailash Yatra 2013 starts annually from 1st of August 2013 to 11th of August 2013. This yatra is arranged by Kinner Kailash Yatra Committee.

It passes from steep rocks as only hail-hearty pilgrims could take part in it . Moreover like other pilgrimage no elaborate arrangements are organized.

During the same period similar pilgrimage around Kinner-Kailash ranges renown as ‘Kailash Prikarma’ is less arduous starts from Kalpa – Lambar – Preeni – Shurting – Charang – Lalanti Base and will end at Chitkul.

SDM Rampur Dalip Negi said that aftermath Uttrakhand tragedy number of pilgrims drastically came down from 15,000 to 6000 which was seen in recently concluded Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra.

The Shrikhand Mahadev trek is a pilgrim trail that leads to the Shrikhand Mahadev peak (5227 meters/17150 ft.), named after Lord Shiva.
