Weather delays flights to and from HP

Shimla: Arrival and departure of flights to Himachal Pradesh was affected for second day today due to foggy weather conditions at Delhi.  Kingfishers Airport Manager at Jubberhati informed Himvani over phone that its flights scheduled to departure from here to Delhi have been delayed today as number of passengers could not arrive at airport in time. The flight was scheduled to depart from here at 1200hrs. However, now it was scheduled to take off at 1520hrs, but that too was delayed due to late arrival from Dehli, as fog prevailed. Reports received Kullu said that Kingfishers and Indian Airlines flights were also being delayed, Kingfishers departed from Bhuntar airport at 11.00am instead of 08.40am, as it arrived at 10.40am instead of 08.00am.

Meanwhile, Indian Airlines flights scheduled to depart form Kullu at 08.30am departed at 01.15pm from Bhuntar airport, as its arrival here from Delhil was delayed due to foggy conditions. Lone Kingfisher flight to Dharamshala scheduled to depart from Gagal Airport at 0100pm was delayed and was then scheduled to take off at 14.45pm, while its arrival here was also delayed from 12.15pm to 01.45pm. All the Kingfisher flights to Shimla, Manali and Dharamshala from Dehli were canceled on Saturday due to inclement weather conditions in the state. Meanwhile, tribal helicopter flights after remaining off for last two days were also operating today as 50 people including two patients were evacuated from Keylong town to Bhuntar, as chopper landed at Saitngri Helipad while 16 others were evacuated from Udiapur.
