Heavy rains in Solan district brought vehicular traffic on the SHimla-kalka national highway to a stand still and also forced Railways to suspend trains following heavy damage to Koti railway station.
About a 100 metre track at the small station has been completely washed away while, landslide on the highway caused heavy traffic jam on Monday. All up and down trains on the 96 km long Kalka-Shimla line have been suspended.
As per an estimate it can take at least 10 days for the repair work to be carried out.
