Shimla: Due to snag in online booking of Indian Railway at Scandal, the train booking was suspended for consecutive second day. Many tourists and locals had to suffer amid bone chilling cold today as it failed to deliver train tickets (booking) reservation, cancellation and enquiry services, leaving thousands of them in the trouble. The counter window was dressed in shabby curtains, which was being accompanied by a closed sign. The official posted at the online booking counter had only one answer for all, server is down. Those who came knocking down at the door were being instructed to walk down to the Shimla Railway station to get the tickets.

When people reached at the railway station, they had to wait for hours in two long queues to get their chance and some were even seen shivering in the cold, as there was no heating arrangement inside the open lobby. The enquiry counter at the railway station was also closed. Women standing in the queues for couple of hours had to face the acid test, as there were no separate queues for women. Normally unexceptional rush of tourists in the town collapses the railway system frequently, but it was further added up due to increasing tourist rush to take glimpses of snowfall in the high reaches. Moreover, Scandal Point booking counter sang pushed the crowd to the Railway station .
