Two employees suspended for dereliction of duties

Mandi: Mandi deputy commissioner has suspended two employees for dereliction of duties and misconduct during the panchayat elections. The orders were issued by the DC while acting on the report of SDM Sundernagar, who was acting as returning officer for the panchayat elections.

Lekh Ram, a drawing master at Government Senior Secondary School, Slapper, who was assigned duties of reserve polling officer, was suspended as he did not obey the orders and did not attend the rehearsal at Community Hall, Sundernagar, on 12-12-2010. In the other case, Khub Ram, a panchayat sahayak at gram panchayat Seri Kothi, was assigned duties as nodal officer during panchayat elections and was found absent from December 26 to 2 during the election process.

Both these employees were placed under suspension with immediate effect as per the provisions of Panchyati Raj Act and the inquiry would be conducted against them.
