Shimla (Jan 6): The intense cold wave further worsened in Himachal Pradesh as mercury further plunged by minus three to four degree from normal during last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department here predicted rain or snow at isolated parts of high reaches.
In Lahaul Spiti district, Keylong recorded coldest with minus 15 degree Celsius, and five degree below normal, followed by Kalpa in Kinnaur with minus 5.6 degrees, three degree below normal. Sundernagar of Mandi was cold at minus 0.9 degrees and low by four degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu minus 0.7 degrees and two degree below normal, and Solan minus 0.3 degrees, respectively.
Minimum of Mandi was low at one degrees, Dharamshala 2.7 degrees, Una 3.2 degrees, Palampur in Kangra and Shimla 4 degrees each and Nahan 5.6 degrees.
