Student commits suicide in Shimla


    Shimla (Jan 05) A teenager-girl ended her life after allegedly hanging herself, was found dead at her residence.
    The incident occurred this afternoon at her house in Sector-2, New Shimla in the suburb of this capital town.

    Sixteen years, Aushi student of Class 10 of DAV New Shimla hanged herself with a piece of cloth (Chunni) to stair grill when she was alone in the house and her parents were on duty.

    She was found hanged to stair grill in the houses which was locked from inside, by her maternal mother.

    Both the parents, bank employees were out for work when deceased took the worst step probably in stressed conditions, police official said.

    Assistant Superintendent of Police, Shimla, Mandan Lal, who visited the spot told Himvani that no suicide note was recovered form the spot.

    The girl’s maternal mother entered inside the house after breaking window windowpane from the second story of the house with help of neighbours, when deceased did not open the door after frequent knocking.
    The police was informed soon after the girl was found hanging.
    Earlier, deceased’s parent had called the maternal mother, who lives nearby their house to see the deceased, as she did not respond after frequent telephone calls.

    The Police were investigating into the case of alleged suicide.
