Shimla (Dec 30): A Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service officer today committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his official residence in Kasumpti, on the outskirt of the capital town, police sources said.
Ginu Ram Bharati (50) committed suicide after consuming some substance and was found deed in a room with a suicide note. He was alone in the house when he took the worst step. Police sources said that the deceased was under depression due to some family problem, which is mentioned in the suicide note. The deceased was joint secretary in Sainik Welfare Board and had been joint secretary in Administrative Reform, Public Grievances and Training department and also SDM Dodra Kawar in the past. Police are investigating the matter and the body has been sent for autopsy.
