Shimla (Dec 25) A tourist bus on the way to Tatapani from Shimla fell down in deep gorge, injuring 17 tourists, when mishap occurred at Dori area near Bagipulah, about 35 km from here this morning.
SP Shimla, Sonal Agnihorti told Himvani that ill-fated bus carrying 30 tourists was on its way to Tatapani (hot water natural resource on the bank of Satluj river), when it fell down at Dori area near Bagipulah, disctrict Shimla at 9.15 am today. The injured 17 people including eight women, two kids and seven men were rushed to the nearby Dhami Primary Health Care Centre.
Seven critically injured have been referred to IGMC Shimla, while others were discharged after giving first aid.
While talking to Himvani, Deputy Commissioner Shimla, J S Rana said, the ambulances were immediately pressed into service for evacuation of injured to Hospital from the spot.
He said that there was no fatality in the mishap, the ill-fated bus that was carrying tourists party from Dehli, who belong from Maharashtra.
The police have yet to ascertain the cause of accident. The injured belong from different part of Maharashtra but most of from Mumbai.
