One is killed and five are injured in road mishaps



Dharamshala: One person was killed and five others were injured in two different accidents in Kangra and Dehra subdivisions during the last 24 hours, police said here today. Kangra District Police Chief Daljeet Thakur today said that one person was killed on the spot and four others were injured when an Alto car plunged into 100 feet deep gorge at Kuthman on Pathankot Mandi National Highway yesterday. He said the deceased driver of the car was identified as Shahshi Sharma, 50, a resident of village Sunni. He also added that four other occupants of the car who were injured in the accident were rushed to Tanda Medical College for treatment.

In another accident Gulshan Kumar was left injured when the car in which he was traveling was hit by a tractor at village Adhwani falling under Jawalamukhi police station, SP Daljeet Thakur said. He said complaint was lodged by Virander Singh of Dhanot village.  Jagdev Singh driver of the tractor was however arrested.
