Himachal BJP refutes allegation by Congress

Shimla: Amid coming Civic and Panchayati Raj bodies poll in the state both major parties were engaged in verbal dual, making  allegations and counter allegations. Reacting to State Congress President Kaul Singh Thakur’s statement regarding under development in BJP regime, State Irrigation and Public Health Minister Ravinder Singh Ravi expressed astonishment over the irresponsible and baseless statement. He said that in view of fighting between various congress factions Kaul Singh Thakur has become habitual of giving statements just to divert the attention of the people, but this was not going to cut the ice as people of the state were well aware of his gimmicks, he added.

He also added that achievements of the state had been appreciated not only by the people, but were also recognized at the national level for which many prestigious awards have also been conferred upon the state. He said that the state was making rapid strides in development and emerged as one of the pioneer state in the effective implementation of various programmes for the betterment and welfare of the people. Taking strong exception of the allegation of Land Mafia, he said that Kaul Singh Thakur must know that during Congress regime amendment in section 118 of the Act had been made four times just to benefit their favorites and it was shocking that now he is accusing the present government on the issue.
