Shimla: Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said that people of the state needed to be provided all information relating to public welfare, especially relating to the socio-economic upliftment of the down-trodden in right perspective. He was interacting with the public relations officers of Information and Public Relations Department of the state here today. Chief Minister said that the state government had been formulating a number of policies and programmes for the welfare of the people and the same needed to be propagated in the right perspective so that people could avail their benefits.
He said that needy and common man should have full information of the programmes launched for the welfare of the people. He also said that regular updating of the achievements and new programmes needed to be carried out so that public relations officers were equipped with latest information about all programmes. He also directed them to gather feedback about the new schemes introduced by the state government from time to time so that its ground-level impact could be assessed as well.
