Shimla (Nov 24): Himachal-born Bollywood actor Preity Zinta may soon be seen endorsing the state as an ultimate tourism destination as there are indications that she has accepted the state government’s offer to promote the ‘Unforgettable Himachal’ campaign.
While officials in the state government have for long been floating the idea of roping in Bollywood actors with Himachal roots to promote brand Himachal, this is the first time an actor is said to have expressed willingness. Sources in the department said a formal offer is yet to be made, but there are indications that the actor would not charge for the services.
Recently, Abhishek Bachchan too had expressed willingness to became Himachal’s brand ambassador during a visit to Shimla.
