PAC asks officials to ensure early settlement of CAG objections

Shimla: Public Account Committee(PAC) constituted by Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha will take action on CAG report for year 2005-06 to 2007-08. It met here today, presided over by its Chairman, Prem Singh. He asked the state and centre departments to ensure settlement of audit objections raised by the CAG with in 15 days. Chairman also duly informed PAC and Auditor General Office about the action taken on various objections raised by CAG report for year 2005-6 to 2007-08.
He urged the officials to properly use the funds released to benefit the people in the state and for their development by implementing schemes in appropriate manner. He asked the officials to send their reply to action taken on CAG objections in its report within 15 days, so that pending accounts and objections could be disposed off in time bound manner. Also, Deputy Commissioner Shimla, R.S. Rana informed PAC about various step being taken over CAG report in the district.
