Shimla (Nov 20): Despite clear weather and bright sunshine, cold wave tightened its grip in the entire state even as isolated parts of the state experienced overnight snow and rainfall.
The Met office said that in Kullu district, Dhundi had 9 mm rainfall, Solangnala 2 mm, Manali and Bhang-Manali 1 mm each and Rohru in Shimla district recorded 7 mm rainfall. Mercury further dipped under sub-zero temperatures in tribal areas of the state as Keylong (Lahaul Spiti) was coldest at minus 2 degree Celsius followed by Kalpa (Kinnaur) at minus one degrees.
Minimum in Solan was 4.5 degrees, Shimla and Bhuntar in Kullu were cold at 5 degrees each, Sundernagar in Mandi 6.4 degrees, In Kangra, Dharamshala, Palampur and Mandi 8 degrees each, Una and Nahan of Sirmaur 11 degrees each respectively.
The met forecast mainly dry weather in most part of Himachal Pradesh in next 24 hours.
