Shimla: Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minsiter while addressing an impressive public meeting at Kanshiwala near Nahan today, after dedicating development projects worth about Rs. seven crore also launched Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhaya BPL Security Yojna. It aims at providing 38 free medicines to BPL families in OPDs all over the State. He said that BPL beneficiaries had also been given insurance cover of Rs. 30,000 under Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana. For critical ailments Rs. 1.75 lakh insurance cover was being provided. Rs. 11.5 crore had been earmarked for this scheme during current financial year, he added. He also announced Rs. 75 lakh for up-gradation and maintenance of district ayurveda hospital at Nahan to add to the health infrastructure in the disitrict.
