Chamba (Nov 10): Two persons were buried alive when a heavy boulder hit them in Holi area, under Bharmaur police station, on Monday night, police said today.
Mahendra Singh (50), a resident of Monzorn post of Holi area, and Baldev (28) of Gronda village, came under a massive rock on Monday night and died on the spot. Local residents and ward members of the Bjoal Panchayat Love Chand reported the incident to police. The police said a team lead by Bharmaur SHO Santokh Singh rushed to the spot and pulled out the bodies. Naib tehsildar Balbir Singh Thakur visited the affected family and paid Rs 10,000 as immediate relief.
