HP Police bags national award for computerization drive

Shimla (Nov 4): Himachal Pradesh Police’s computerization drive has won yet another national award as CSI-Nihilent eGovernace Award-2010 has been conferred to the state police website.

IG, CID, OC Thakur said in a press released issued to media that police website “hppolice.nic.in” under team leader DGP DS Minhas has been conferred with CSI-Nihilent e-Governance Award 2010 for its outstanding performance in “Law & Judiciary” under interactive web-portal category. The award has been instituted by the Computer Society of India (CSI) for outstanding achievement made by the departments of states and centre governments in the country in the field of e-Governance in various categories.
