First thermal power plant in Himachal

Nalagarh: The first thermal power plant in Himachal will come up at Baderi village in Nalagarh. The 125 MW capacity plant will be executed by JP Associates Limited, and would be the first coal cum rice husk based electricity project in the region. The project cost is estimated to be around 90 crore, and the company also claims to have a Rs 6-crore environment protection plan. Objections from the local people would be listened to by the company at Badheri village on June 27.
