Educational bonanza for Chamba students

Shimla: Students of Chamba district, who hope to pursue their career in teaching would not have to go out, as the town will have its own B.Ed College within one month, according to a government release.

The announcement was made by Animal Husbandry and Housing Minister, Harsh Mahajan, after dedicating the refurbished Chowgan number two and five to the general public in Chamba town.

Mahajan also informed that the Millennium Polytechnic College at Sarol (Chamba) was ready and would be starting its first session next month. The cabinet has given a nod to 48 posts of the teachers for the college, the release quoted Mahajan as saying.

Meanwhile, the Government Degree College would soon be shifted to Sultanpur, on the outskirts of Chamba town, the foundation stone of which would be laid by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh during his visit to Chamba in the first week of August, on the conclusion of International Minjar fair.
