BSNL links remote Mayar valley with mobile service

Keylong: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited today linked Mayar valley of Lahaul & Spiti district with mobile services with a mobile towers being commissioned in Tingret area.

Disclosing this, BSNL sub-divisional officer KS Verma told HimVani over phone that the tower would cater to a population of about 1,000 people living in six villages, which already have landline connectivity. Tingret valley join Lahaul & Spiti district with Pangi area of Chamba district. He said that now only Tindi valley, having a population of 600, is without mobile service in the district.
