Shimla: The South-west Monsoon finally showed signs of withdrawal in Himachal Pradesh as most part of the state remained mainly dry during the last 24 hours. However, night temperature fell by two to three degree below normal across the state, hinting at early winters, the Met office said.

“Only Baijnath of Kangra district had 3 mm rain, and the Monsoon is likely to withdrawn completely by month-end,’ Met office in charge Manmohan Singh told HimVani.

Kalpa in Kinnaur was coldest place in the state, recording a minimum of just 6 degree Celsius, three degree below normal, followed by Keylong of Lahaul Spiti at 6.2 degrees and Bhuntar in Kullu 12 degrees, both two degree below normal. The minimum at Dharamsala, Palampur and Solan was 14 degrees each, Sundernagar in Mandi and Nahan in Sirmaur at 16 degrees each, Una 19.8 degrees, Mandi 17 degrees and Shimal 13 degrees.
