Nahan: A road near the office of deputy commissioner, Sirmaur caved in as its retaining wall got damaged after excessive rainfall, even as the Nahan-Shimla highway and other prominent link roads in Sirmaur district remained blocked today.
The transport department said that buses going to Shimla from Nahan were diverted via Chandigarh because of road blockade at three different places. HRTC regional manager, Nahan said that many link roads including Nahan-Birla, Nalan-Kaulanwala Bhoor, Nahan-Ramadhaun, Nahan-Haripurdhar, Nahan-Bhanog Bhaneri and Renuka-Sataun were closed due to continuous rains.
