Shimla: The project director of Himachal Pradesh State Aids Control Society Dr Sulakshna Puri has been conferred with Rajiv Gandhi excellence award in the field of health service.
National Minority Commission chairman SP Sangliniya and former governor of Bihar RL Bhatia handed over the award to Dr Puri at a national-level conference organized on the theme of ‘Economic empowerment and national integration’ in New Delhi on Sunday.
Puri has been honored for her contribution in the field of health by imparting awareness among the masses on threat of HIV-AIDS. The award has been constituted by India International Friendship Society to recognise work done in the field of science & technology, education, industry, fine art, culture and social service.
