Shimla: Torrential rain lashed many part of Himachal Pradesh during the last 24 hours as the receding monsoon remained vigorous, disrupting normal life.
Reports arriving here said that rain lashed Hamirpur, Kangra, Una, Bilaspur, Mandi and Kullu this morning, affecting vehicular traffic, communication and further inflated the spatting Beas and Setluj rivers. Dharamsala in Kangra district was most wet place in the state as it had 176 mm rainfall, Nagrota Suriyan 77 mm, Guler 64 mm and Nurpur 48 mm, Bangana in Hamirpur 137 mm, Sujanpur Tira 104 mm, Nadaun 88 mm, Bhoranj 64 mm, Hamirpur 44 mm, Poanta 103 mm, Renuka 89 mm, Amb 72 mm and Manali 59 mm.
The met office warned that heavy rainfall is likely to occur in the state at isolated places and rain or thundershowers at many places in most places during the next 24 hours.
