Cloudburst near Palampur: No loss of life, property



Dharamsala: Twelve persons who were caught in a flash flood at Khandi bridge area near Bandla in Palampur sub-division due to a flash flood on Saturday have been rescued by the authorities, police said today. Kangra district police chief Atul Fulzele said a cloudburst in the higher reaches of Dhalaudhar mountain range yesterday resulted in a flash flood.

He said 12 persons who were collecting sand from the Kandi river were stranded on rocks. He said that all of them were rescued after the water receded. He said that there was no loss of life or property due to the flash flood.
