Shimla: Himachal Pradesh University Vice-chancellor Sunil Kumar Gupta today released two issues of HYPHEN, an international journal of interdisciplinary studies in literature, art and culture, published by “The Hyphen Foundation”, Shimla. The journal is edited by Dr Kanwar Dinesh Singh, a distinguished writer, poet and critic and currently working as assistant professor of English at Government Postgraduate College, Solan.
The released biannual bilingual journal publishes research in literature in both English and Hindi. The editorial advisors of the journal include over fifteen renowned scholars, professors and writers in English and Hindi from India and abroad. The review committee of the journal comprises experts from different parts of India, Australia, New Zeeland, Canada, England and USA.
The Vice-Chancellor also released a book of criticism on the Hindi poetry of the eight decade, authored by Dr Inder Singh Thakur, presently working as assistant professor of Hindi at Government College, Sanjali and associate editor of Hindi section of Hyphen. Dr. Inder Singh has raised the important social issues and creating awareness on them through his writings in the book.
