Shimla: Monsoon rains lashed parts of Himachal Pradesh during the last 24 hours.
Poanta Sahib of Sirmour district registered 34 mm rain and Dharmsala in Kangra 25.6 mm, however rest of the places remained mainly dry. The caital town was cloudy this afternoon as the sity recorded a minimum temperature of 15.9 degree Celsius.

Sundernagar was cold at 22.1 degrees, Bhuntar and Una 21 degrees each, Kalpa 14.9 degrees, Dharamsala 16.3 degrees, Mandi 23.5 degrees, Nahan and Solan 19.5 degrees each and Keylong 13.4 degrees, respectively. Met office said that rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in middle and high reaches and isolated partd in plain areas of the state in the next 24 hours.
