SFI sweeps SCA polls in HPU campus



Shimla: SFI won all the four seats in the Himachal Pradesh University Student Central Association polls held today, while ABVP has been leading in other colleges.

SFI president Khushi Ram won by getting 1,080 votes, Vipin Mehta was elected vice-president (1002 votes), Sunti Ranot as general secretary (1014) and Ankush Mandyal as joint secretary (1075). SFI won elections for departmental representative on 33 seats and ABVP 11 seats.

In the lone college in district Kinnaur,  three seats went to NSUI and one was tied between NSUI and ABVP but went in favour of ABVP on age seniority basis.

In five colleges of Solan district, ABVP won 10 seats, NSUI 9 and SFI one seat.
