Dharamsala: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a boy in village Sharotri falling under Kangra police station and a case under Section 376 IPC was registered, police said on Thursday.
Kangra district additional police chief Sanjeev Gandhi said. “A 14-year old girl today lodged a report with Kangra police that she was raped by a 17-year-old youth, Sanjeev Kumar, a neighbourer of the victim, in December 2009, who forcibly bolted her in a room and sexually assaulted her.”
He said after the rape the victim remained silent till she developed visible signs of pregnancy and when her mother got her tested for the same and was found pregnant, the matter was brought to the notice of the police today. The victim was accompanied by her parents to the police station. The accused was yet to be nabbed.
