HP Assembly adjourned sine die

The Himachal Pradesh Assembly was adjourned sine die by Speaker Tulsi Ram after a five-day monsoon session here today. It means that the assembly has been adjourned without assigning a day for a further meeting. Speaker thanked the members for assisting the chair for running the session peacefully and also said in the concluding moments that in five sittings house proceeded for 18hrs without any walkout and interruption.

The session, which commenced on August 17, 2010 has cleared ten important bills in which one bill was sent to the select committee. 151 starred (*) and 125 unstarred questions were discussed in the assembly during question hours.

He said that 37 accounts reports and financial bills were laid in the table of house , two private member bills were discussed, two matter were raised under Rule-62, one under rule-63 and 10 under rule-324. In addition to this, three suo-moto statements were presented in the house.

The House also cleared HP Prohibition of Cow Slaughter (amendment) bill 2010, Maharishi Markandeshwar University (Establishment and regulation ) bill 2010, HP Legislative Assembly(Allowances and Pension of members) Amendment bill 2010 and HP Appropriation bill 2010 bill during this session.
