Dharamsala: Police claims to have almost solved the ‘hit & run’ case involving death of a woman near Tapovan in Dharamsala by booking a local bus owner here. The alleged suspect has been booked under a bailable section of IPC and Motor Vehicle Act and has also been granted bail, even as cops refused to name the accused officially.
The person, however, pleaded total innocence and also said he would file a suit against some police officials as he was being framed as police had been unable to catch the real culprit till now. But according to reliable sources here, the police have solid evidence (including bunch of hair found from the spot) against the accused, and he is likely to be booked under non-bailable sections & arrested too after consultation with the legal experts.

Inside information collected by HimVani from the locals point to the theory that the suspect/accused on the day of the accident first hit the deceased unintentionally while reversing his bus, but when he saw that the lady was hit badly but still breathing, afraid that she would depose against him, he murdered her by running over the bus over her again and then fled the spot towards Kangra via Kaned village. After that he parked his bus at a service station and got it washed in order to wash off all the blood stains and do away with any evidence of his visit to the spot.
