Dharamsala: Punjab National Bank Dharamsala circle office today kicked off its ‘corporate social responsibility programme’ here by donating sewing machines to below-poverty-line women at Sidhbari panchayat bhavan.
The initiative started by PNB is actively led by its circle head PR Rathi, who has further announced that the bank will very soon start professional workshops for local women aged between 18 to 35 years to provide free job-oriented & professional training. Speaking on the occasion, Kangra deputy commissioner RS Gupta lauded the spirit of the bank and urged others to follow their example and at the same time stressed the need for utilising the credit facilities in a wise and productive manner.
Also present were block Congress president Suresh Dhiman, Congress spokesperson Jitender Sharma, OP Jamwal and many Congress workers who in the beginning of the program paid homage to late Rajiv Gandhi on his 66th birth anniversary.
This is a great initiative by the Punjab National Bank. It is rare to see social responsibility coming from any banking institution. Now I'm happy that I have my account with them… 🙂
YOUR MONEY IS SAFE WITH THEM PER SURE
