Ashadeep plants 250 deodar saplings



Shimla: Carrying forward its observation of ‘INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF BIODIVERSITY’, Ashadeep, a civil rights grup, today conducted its fourth tree plantation of the month. According to president of Ashadeep Sushil Tanwar, about 250 deodar saplings were planted in the premises of “Indian Institute Of Advanced Studies”.

Dr Peter Ronald Deouza, director of the institute, inaugurated the programme. Lauding the efforts of Ashadeep in the area of environment preservation, he emphasized the need to involve more and more people in this campaign to increase the green cover. tudents from DAV Sr. Sec. School, New shimla, along with volunteers of Ashadeep and fellows from the institute took part in the plantation.
