Theog: A modern marketing yard would be developed at Parala near Sainj in Theog tehsil for the benefit of farmers and fruit growers. Stating this while addressing a gathering at the Theog Utsav today organised to mark Independence Day celebrations at Potato ground here, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said a provision of Rs 4 crore had been made for preparation feasibility report and land acquisition to develop a bypass at Theog for smooth plying of vehicles.
Earlier he dedicated and laid foundation stones of various developmental schemes in Theog area. These included inauguration of Lift Water Supply Scheme at Majhar, 10-km-long Bhekhlti-Dharech- Gwech road, Tikkar Alue Lift Water Supply Scheme and Theog rest house. He also performed foundation stone of ITI building at Theog to be constructed at a cost of Rs 4.62 crore and a parking slot to be constructed to a cost of Rs 32 lakh.
