A thousand glittering stars

Shimla: True to the tradition, St Bede’s College organized a warm and ravishing welcome for the freshers who are now part of the Bedian family. The Fresher Nite took place on August 29, with this year’s theme being “a thousand glittering stars.” The seniors gave in all their energy and dedication to make the programme a grand success. In order to introduce new girls, a number of competitions were organized and 21 girls were selected after a grilling round of interviews, competitions for the Miss Fresher’ pageant, a much sought after affair at the college. The 21 semifinalists were asked to walk the ramp and were also questioned by various judges to test their confidence level and clarity of thought.

Maheema Dutt of economics honours was crowned Miss Fresher-2010, along with Aisha Thapliyal of BBA and Navya Sachdeva of BCom as first and second runners-up respectively. All three winners were awarded gift coupons sponsored by Fairmount Hotel, Mahashee Jewellers, Matrix Hair saloon and Lal and Sons.
