Shimla: Two persons was killed and 27 others sustained injures as a HRTC bus carrying 50 persons fell into a flooded rivulet near Nerva in Chopal sub-division of Shimla district this afternoon, police officials said.
According to SP Shimla Rajinder Mohan Sharma, one persons died on the spot while 27 others sustained injured as the Shimla-Kupavi HRTC bus (No-HP-34-6383) fell down into Dhandori river as it was crossing a bridge over it. As the bus rolled down into the flooded river, it was further swept away around 200 meters downstream, killing one on the spot. The injured were rushed to Narva civil hospital where one more person died. The deceased and injured were yet to be identified. Incessant rainfall hampered rescue operation, the SP added.
