Widespread rainfall in Himachal

Shimla: Most places in Himachl Pradesh were lashed by moderate to heavy rainfall as the monsson remained active in the state since the last 24 hours. Palampur in Kangra district recorded highest rainfall of 57 mm, Dharamshala 42 mm and Baijnath received 37 mm rainfall.

In Mandi district Karsog had 56 mm, Gohar 47 mm, Sundernagar 31.4 mm, main town and Pandoh received 29.2 mm each and Sandol registered 20 mm of rainfall. In Shimla district Jubbarhatti recieved 53 mm, Rohru 38 mm, Shimla 38 mm, Rampur 27 mm, Theog 26 mm, Jubbal 24 mm, Kotkhai and Kumarsen received 20 mm each.

In Kullu district Banjar experienced 45 mm rain and Bhuntar 32 mm of rainfall. In Chamba district Saloni had 30 mm, Tissa 21 mm and Kalpa of Kinnuar district 27 mm of rainfall respectively.

The met office warned that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in isolated parts of Himachal Pradesh and moderate to heavy rainfall in many parts of the state during the next 24 hours
